Executive Housekeeper for a Private Family in Greenwich, CT

 

A thoughtful private family in Greenwich, CT is hiring a seasoned Executive Housekeeper to help maintain an elegant, well-run residence with warmth, discretion, and exceptional attention to detail.

 

This position calls for a confident, hands-on professional who enjoys both setting a high standard and working alongside an established household team to keep daily operations smooth, organized, and quietly impeccable.

 

The ideal candidate brings senior-level private service experience, a refined eye for household presentation, and the emotional intelligence to mentor staff while supporting a relaxed household culture with very high expectations. Experience in a fine private home, estate, yacht, or luxury hospitality setting is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily housekeeping, deep cleaning, organization, and the overall presentation of the residence
  • Care for fine furnishings, surfaces, linens, delicate garments, wardrobes, closets, and household storage areas with expert attention
  • Maintain household supplies, toiletries, pantry items, cleaning products, and systems so they remain organized and consistently stocked
  • Work hands-on with the existing team, model best practices, mentor staff, and help refine routines and standards
  • Anticipate the family’s preferences and help schedule the team to support privacy, efficiency, and a beautifully run home
  • Comfortable working in a home with pre-teen children and one small dog

 

Qualifications

  • Significant experience as an Executive Housekeeper or senior-level Housekeeper in a high-standard private home
  • Excellent, verifiable references
  • A hands-on leader with sound judgment, high emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to mentor and develop a team
  • Outstanding organization, discretion, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • A positive, flexible, no-job-too-small attitude suited to a relaxed household culture with very high expectations

Schedule

  • Generally, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • This role requires flexibility for some extended hours, weekends, and holidays

 

Compensation

  • Salary range $55 to $70/hour commensurate with experience
