Private Chef
Full-Time with a 3 ½ day work week!
A prominent, health-focused private family is seeking an exceptional Private Chef to join a busy and elevated culinary program in New York City (there are three other Chefs on this team). This role is ideal for a Chef who is as views food as medicine for a healthy life and delivers world-class cuisine.
We are looking for a Chef who embodies professionalism and creativity, is calm under pressure, collaborative, and demonstrates deep nutritional knowledge. The ideal candidate is highly organized, warm and personable, service-oriented, and able to operate gracefully within a discreet, fast-paced private household.
You will design and execute clean, seasonal, nutrient-dense menus, create personalized meal plans, and maintain culinary standards across all properties.
Seasonal travel to the Hamptons (July and August) is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare elevated, health-driven cuisine tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide informal meal service to family and guests as required.
- Source and work with organic, local, and specialty purveyors to ensure the highest ingredient integrity.
- Maintain consistent culinary and hospitality standards across multiple homes and the family’s private aircraft.
- Manage kitchen operations, hygiene standards, food safety, and allergen control with impeccable precision.
- Manage budgets, inventory, provisioning, and kitchen organization across properties.
- Coordinate culinary support for travel, including food transport and jet catering.
- Partner with the Estate Manager and household team to provide seamless, discreet service.
- Provide oversight and guidance for the family garden and beekeeping program, ensuring produce is maximized and preserved for use and gifting.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ professional Chef experience, including experience in a private household, yacht, private aviation or ultra-luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong background in clean eating, functional nutrition, and specialty diets; formal nutrition training is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multi-location operations and lead a culinary team.
- Experience with private jet or yacht catering strongly preferred.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution desired.
- High discretion, impeccable integrity, and a composed, service-forward demeanor.
- Flexible travel schedule, including holidays and weekends.
- Valid passport and driver’s license; background check required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual compensation range of $200,000 to $225,000, based on experience

Schedule
- Typically, 3.5 days/week
- 7:00 am to close
- The days are long but there is plenty of time off to recharge
