Part-Time Household Assistant

A private family in Fox Point is seeking an experienced and highly reliable Part-Time Household Assistant to provide hands-on support with the day-to-day care and organization of their home. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, discreet, and comfortable working independently in a busy household.
Both principals work from home, so a professional demeanor, strong boundaries, and the ability to work quietly and efficiently are essential. The right candidate will take pride in keeping the home organized and running smoothly, learn the family’s preferences, and be receptive to feedback.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, approximately 27–28 hours per week. Generally, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, with some flexibility in start and end times.
Responsibilities include:
- Grocery shopping and household errands
- Unpacking, organizing and properly storing groceries
- Monitoring and restocking household supplies
- Light meal preparation and dinner prep
- Laundry, folding and putting items away
- Daily light tidying and vacuuming
- Maintaining organized kitchens, counters and common areas
- Household organization and completing daily task lists
- Package drop-offs and occasional pickups
- Light care for two cats, including feeding, litter and maintaining their area
- Monitoring and restocking pet supplies
- Working cooperatively with the existing housekeeper and other household service providers
Qualifications:
- Previous private household experience strongly preferred
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and able to anticipate household needs
- Comfortable receiving feedback and learning specific household preferences
- Professional, discreet and respectful of privacy
- Quiet, self-directed and comfortable working around principals who work from home
- Strong judgment and emotional intelligence
- Dependable with excellent follow-through
- Comfortable with cats and a large dog
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
- Able to successfully complete background and reference checks
Compensation: $35–$45/hour, commensurate with experience, plus mileage/gas reimbursement for household errands.
